Clean Energy Council Certification
Nu-Lok Roofing Systems are please to announce that our PV Solar panels have been approved by Clean Energy Australia. We are very excited with the development of our latest product, our Seamless PV Solar panels. These panels have been developed to meet the demand of our clients for a Solar panel that not only meets their needs but also complements their Nu-Lok roof. After over 2 years of development and testing we are very please to announce that our PV Panels are now certified by Clean Energy Australia and available for use in Australia. It is a great product and one that our customers are taking advantage of with many of them now adding solar to their Nu-Lok roofs.
As a certified product we are now in a position to offer you the current Government incentives which include the current 20 cent gross feed in tariff and the discount on reusable energy certificates (REC’S)
Reusable Energy Certificates (REC's)
Each 1 kilowatt (kW) of solar that you install entitles you to 20 REC’S but as an incentive the government is offering you 5 times that amount on your first 1.5kW. This means that for a 1.5kW solar system you would be entitled to 150 REC’S currently valued at $35 each which equals a value to you of $5,250. Each kW over and above this is worth 20 REC’S so for every kW you install over 1.5kWs you will receive a further discount of $700.00.
The 20 cent gross tariff works like this
Every day your solar system will produce energy which is measured in Kw hours. If you look at your last electricity bill you will see that your electricity provider has charged you based on how many kW hours you have used in the past quarter and the current rate they charge is on average 12 cents. With a gross feed in tariff your new solar system will send all the energy it produces back to your electricity Company and they will credit this to you at 20 cents per kW hour. For example a 1 kw system should produce around 3.4 kW hours per day which means in 1 year it should produce 3.4 x 365 days = 1240kW hours if we times this by 20 cents it means a credit to you of around $250. So you can easily work out from this that if you had a 5kW system you would receive a credit of around $250 x 5kWs = $1,250.00.
